The Rockport Public Library will host a monthly ATC Club, open to all ages, beginning Saturday, Jan. 16 from 2 to 4 p.m. ATCs — Artists Trading Cards – are small works of art meant to be swapped and shared, but not sold, and are the size of a baseball card.

January’s ATC technique will have participants discovering new ideas from old book pages. Other techniques will be demonstrated throughout the year by local artist Robinsunne and will include paper quilling, paper piercing, collage, rubber stamp imprints, sewing, book arts techniques and “zentangle” drawing.

Participants will receive an original ATC-sized membership card. The ATC Club will initiate swaps with other clubs and libraries and, of course, swapping between participants is always encouraged. Materials are provided at no cost, but bringing one’s own scissors or any special craft materials one might want to have on hand is a great idea.

The ATC Club will meet on the third Saturday of the month and all are welcome. Rockport Public Library is located in the village at 1 Limerock St. For more information, call 236-3642.
