Cassidy Emma Poland, 2, died Jan. 4, 2010, at Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta. Cassidy was born Nov. 5, 2007, in Damariscotta, a daughter of Bobbie and Tracy Lucas Poland.
Cassidy loved life and embraced everything. She loved to dance and sing. She enjoyed playing with her Play-Doh, coloring, swimming, paddle boating and kayaking. She especially loved playing and spending time with her big brother, Cole.
Cassidy is survived by her parents, Bobbie and Tracy Lucas Poland of Bremen; her brother, Cole Poland of Bremen; her paternal grandparents, Ron and Ruth Poland of Bremen; her maternal grandparents, Walter and Sheila Lucas of Cundys Harbor; her maternal great-grandmother, Ruth Perry of Bailey Island; her aunts and uncles, Mark and Carrie Lucas of Cundys Harbor, Fern and Sandy Poland of Bremen, and Ronald Poland and his companion Cristal Bryant of Round Pond; her cousins, Nikolas, Kara, Ernest and Khloe Poland, Drew and Brandy Bryant, Evan and Alexis Poland, and Ainsleigh and Abigail Lucas; many great-uncles and great-aunts; her grammie and gramps, Henry and Alice Barstow; her special nana, Alice Parlin; and her special friends, Rich, Robbin and Dylan Durney and Rhonda Lovejoy.
The funeral will be held Thursday, Jan. 7 at 11 a.m. at the Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main St. in Waldoboro.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cassidy Emma Poland Memorial Fund, c/o Camden National Bank, 1768 Atlantic Highway, Waldoboro, ME 04572.
