Designer/goldsmith Patty Bolz of Camden is offering a second session of jewelry-making classes beginning this February. The six-week course is designed for beginning and intermediate level students and will focus on fabrication skills, various styles of stone setting, mechanics, and chain making. Wax carving and other techniques will be introduced as time and interest allow. This course provides the opportunity for students to design and create jewelry in a small, informal setting.

Classes will be limited to four students and will begin the week of February 10, meeting Wednesday mornings from 8:30 -11:30, with additional open studio time available for independent work on Thursdays from 8:30 to 11 a.m. (There will be no classes held during the weeks of 2/22 or 3/10.) It is not necessary to have taken a jewelry course previously in order to enroll in this session’s classes. Beginners are welcome.

Bolz has worked as a goldsmith and jewelry designer for the last 30 years, exhibiting her work at national juried shows and in select galleries. Her work has also been featured in numerous books and publications on contemporary jewelry making.
