Blanche Evelyn Libby, 99, of Camden died Dec. 29, 2009, at Anderson Inn.

Born in Camden on Nov. 17, 1910, she was the daughter of Charles F. and Glenora (Hall) Milliken. She was a 1928 graduate of Camden High School. During World War II, Mrs. Libby went to work in the card room at the Knox Woolen Mill, retiring when the mill closed.

She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Rockport. Mrs. Libby was a great cook and enjoyed entertaining her family and friends. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and had resided at Anderson Inn for several years, where she was known for her good nature.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Roscoe Cooper; her second husband, Douglas Libby; and her son, Roscoe Cooper, who died in 1994.

She is survived by her brother, Eugene Milliken of Camden; eight grandchildren; a nephew, Larry Milliken of California; and a niece, Vickie Foster of Florida.

A graveside service will be held in the spring in the Mountain View Cemetery in Camden.
