Stephen Andrew Sinclair, 60, of Belgrade died Dec. 2, 2009, at the Maine General Medical Center in Augusta after a long illness, surrounded and supported for many long months by his loving family and friends.

He was born March 22, 1949, in Alexandria, Va., the son of Rosa and the late Louis H. Sinclair.

Stephen graduated from Thomas Edison High School in Fairfax County, Va., and Kennebec Valley Vocational Technical Institute in Fairfield. He worked many years for the Maine Bureau of Alcoholic Beverages. He loved vintage cars and owned many over the years (and some at the same time). He was an avid and talented photographer, loved wood working and making things work, and adored Halloween. He enjoyed fishing and reading, and dearly loved playing with his dog, Sophie. He loved his family, his children and his many extended family and friends, and will be missed with all of their hearts.

Stephen is survived by his mother, Rosa; his brothers, Louis and his son Eoin, Robert, and Douglas and his wife, Sandra, and their daughter, Whitney; his sisters, Rosa and her husband, Brian, and Elizabeth; his sons, Stephen and his wife, Shannon, and David; his daughters, Alicia and Karen; his grandchildren, Alexander, Aidan, Ilana and Isaak; and his many extended family and friends, most especially Karin, Irene, Norma, Peggy, Heidi, Joyce, his goddaughter, Michelle, and Billy.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 5 at 11 a.m. at St. Giles Episcopal Church, Route 126 in Jefferson. The Rev. John Van Siclen will officiate. Music will be provided by Eoin Sinclair, his nephew.
