VillageSoup donates $4,800 to UMCC

Camden — VillageSoup presented United Midcoast Charities with a check for more than $4,800 from the company's eighth annual Best of the Best Gala, held May 19 at the Samoset Resort.

The Best of the Best Gala featured more than 50 area businesses and community members that voters chose as Knox County's best in 170 categories. VillageSoup readers submitted their completed ballots during February and March.

The event featured a silent auction of area business donations, with all proceeds benefiting UMCC and its federation of 50 agencies.
