At 5:30 pm Saturday, February 4, the steaming casseroles, beans and crisp salads will be placed on the long dining tables at the John Street United Methodist Church, 98 John Street, Camden. That, of course, happens after patrons have visited the pie bar and brought their mouth-watering selection to their place. Also, before the main meal is brought out, and just before the blessing, everyone is quiet as they listen to a “groaner” joke to help digestion with a hearty laugh.
The public is welcome to join folks from a wide geographical area who make it a habit to enjoy the fine food and fellowship of the traditional church supper. The building is fully handicap accessible. The cost per person is $7.
