Rockport — Christina Hill, 42, of Warren, was taken to the hospital after she crashed her car into a tree on Madelyn Lane about 9:15 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5.

Rockport Police Officer Craig Cooley said Hill, who was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Impala, was heading south on Route 1 and turned left into Madelyn Lane to go to a doctor's appointment. Cooley said Hill was driving too fast for the conditions, went off the left side of the road and struck a tree. Her airbag did not deploy.

North East Mobile Health Services transported Hill to Pen Bay Medical Center with neck and back pain.

Rockport Fire Department was also at the scene. Camden Exxon towed the Impala, which Cooley said had "significant" damage.
