Owls Head — A woman injured in a single-car crash on Route 73 in Owls Head Dec. 13 was taken by LifeFlight helicopter to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, according to the Knox County Sheriff's Office.

Jennifer Pallitto, who is about 31 years old of Rockland, was traveling west on Route 73 in Owls Head at about 8 p.m. and missed a corner, driving off the road and striking a tree. She was taken first to Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport and then taken by LifeFlight to the Bangor hospital.
