Woman injured after fall from motorcycle
Camden — A woman was injured Thursday, Sept. 19, after the motorcycle she was a passenger on tipped over while making a turn.
According to Camden Police Officer Allen Weaver, Eugene Farnam, 63, of Moultonborough, N.H., was attempting to make a left turn from Bay View Street onto the public landing when he lost control of his 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle and it tipped over on its side. His wife, Gene Farnum, 69, was thrown off the back of the motorcycle and landed in the middle of the crosswalk on Commercial Street.
"It looks like he may have tried to over-correct while he was making the turn and put the bike on its side," Weaver said.
Members of the Camden Police and Fire departments, along with personnel from North East Mobile Health Services responded to the scene. The patient was transported by ambulance to Pen Bay Medical Medical Center complaining of neck and back pain.
Both riders were wearing helmets at the time of the crash and no charges are expected.
