The Winterport Memorial Library will hold its annual yard sale/book sale, formerly known as the "Mile Long Yard Sale," Saturday, July 28, at 9 a.m. on the grounds of the library. If you are interested in purchasing a space to have your own yard sale, call the library at 223-5540 to reserve your space. Spaces are $25 each and $15 for nonprofit organizations.

Congratulations go out to Mr. and Mrs. Richard Saunders, who celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary in June.

Congratulations go out to Jan and Joel Froding, who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in June also.

Congratulations to Nicole Lester, who received recognition at the Honors Banquet held at the Wagner Middle School in June.

Did anyone notice the large helicopters moving the CMP towers from the Winterport Airport across the river to the Bucksport/Orrington area? They were huge.
