Winter Composting Workshop
|Oct 08, 2016|
|9:30 AM - 12:30 PM|
Knox-Lincoln Soil & Water Conservation District offers a workshop by Adam Tomash, longtime composter and MOFGA volunteer, on how to make a bokashi bucket at Sheepscot General Store and Farm, 98 Town House Road, Whitefield. Participants will go home with a ready-to-use bokashi bucket, as well as enough EM-1 (microorganism starter solution) and wheat bran to start composting right away.
Cost for the workshop is $35, which includes instruction, tools and all materials to make one bokashi bucket: two food-grade 5-gallon buckets, one Italian spigot, one gamma seal lid, one quart of EM-1 solution (bring a glass jar), and wheat bran. For those who bring their own 5-gallon buckets, cost for the workshop is $25.
Pre-registration is required by contacting Hildy at Knox-Lincoln SWCD at 596-2040, email@example.com, or online at knox-lincoln.org/bokashi.
