Team strength: Numbers.
Team goals: To be highly competitive in the regular season and place well in the championship meets.
Top league opponents: Waterville and Belfast, along with the Winslow girls and the Erskine Academy of South China boys.
Outlook: Not only is this year's Windjammer team the biggest the school has had in some time, but it also had had the luxury of having a dry track and field to work on for the majority of the preseason, perhaps giving them an early edge over other teams in the KVAC.
“We have an excellent roster of returning athletes as well as a number of newcomers to the team that are arriving with both training and competition experience,” said Mismash.
Ben Trapani and Smith were the top point scorers among the boys last season, while Pease was number one among the girls. All three figure to be major players again this season for the 'Jammers, while the other student-athletes will challenge in several events throughout the season.
