Windjammers pin down home wins over Huskies, Eagles
Rockport — The Camden Hills wrestling team hosted a tri-meet on Thursday, Dec. 19 and were anything but gracious hosts to visiting Erskine Academy and Maine Central Institute of Pittsfield.
The defending state Class B champion Windjammers again dominated their opponents as they posted a 69-10 win over the Huskies and a 65-17 victory over the Eagles.
The individual Camden Hills results, with Windjammer wrestlers listed first, were:
106 pounds — Hilary Merrifield won by forfeit over MCI and Erskine Academy.
113 pounds — Kaden Harrison-Billiat won by forfeit over MCI and Erskine Academy.
120 pounds — James Archer pinned Chris Watrous, MCI; and beat Isaac Taylor, EA.
126 pounds — Zac Collins lost to Dylan Dahlbergh, MCI; and pinned Justin Studholme, EA.
132 pounds — John Underhill won by forfeit over MCI; and pinned Gabriel Solorzano, EA.
138 pounds — Taylor Crosby won by forfeit over MCI; and was pinned by Joseph York, EA.
145 pounds — Tyler Wood pinned Chandler Jensen, MCI; and lost to Richard Donald, EA.
152 pounds — Connor Winchenbach beat Trevor Kitchin, MCI; and pinned Samuel Wilkinson, EA.
