Windjammer grapplers continue to pin down wins

Camden Hills bests Mount View, Winslow in tri-meet

Thorndike — The Camden Hills wrestling team continued on its tear through the high school wrestling ranks on Friday, Dec. 13 as the Windjammers hit the road to take on host Mount View of Thorndike and Winslow in a tri-meet.

The Windjammers, as they typically do, emerged victorious over both teams, besting the Black Raiders 60-21 and the host Mustangs 54-25.

The defending state Class B champions are 9-1 on the young season.

The individual Windjammer results from Friday's meet, with Camden Hills wrestlers listed first, were:

106 pounds — Hilary Merrifield won by forfeit over Winslow and Mount View.

113 pounds — Zac Annis won by forfeit over Winslow and Mount View.

120 pounds — James Archer won by forfeit over Winslow and Mount View.

126 pounds — Zac Collins was pinned by Dillon Pelletier, Win; and won by forfeit over Mount View.

132 pounds — John Underhill won by forfeit over Winslow; and lost to James Blanchette, MtV.

138 pounds — Taylor Crosby won by forfeit over Winslow; and lost to Matt Wheeler, MtV.

145 pounds — Tyler Wood was pinned by Luke Fredette, Win; and was pinned by Anthony Barnard, MtV.

152 pounds — Connor Winchenbach pinned Patrick Hopkins, Win; and pinned Orrin Harding, MtV.

160 pounds — Elvis Bowen won by forfeit over Winslow; and pinned Scott Vaillancourt, MtV.

170 pounds — Wyatt Parra lost to Benjamin Abbott, Win; and pinned Sierra Fonger, MtV.

182 pounds — Brian Jones won by forfeit over Winslow and Mount View.

195 pounds — Jared Gilbert pinned Johnny LaGasse, Win; and won by forfeit over Mount View.

220 pounds — Bryan Clement pinned Cameron Morrison, Win; and was pinned by Job Mesaric, MtV.

285 pounds — Logan Mulliken was pinned by Aaron Lint, Win; and was pinned by Christopher Cole, MtV.
