Jan 18, 2013
"Pay off my student loans." — Jen Woodman, Rockland

This week Courier Publications reporters are asking around town, " What would you do with $500,000?"

"I would give 15 percent of it to my church. The rest, I'd put away for a rainy day." — Jim Coccia, Rockland
"Pay my bills. When you distribute money to businesses jobs are created." — Leroy Peasley, Rockland
"Of course fun stuff for my family... and I would like to see something done for the homeless, like a shelter." — Liz Glover, Owls Head
"Pay my car off and pay my bills." — Mary Gifford, Warren.

Courier....have we reached the point of no stories left to cover, so we are resorting to this ?  Next time let's ask "which way do you unroll the toilet paper".

Laffin' . . . MORE "fabric covered buildings"?  Such eye sores . . pity the neighbors!

What would *I* do?  Get help to find truly effective ways to donate to world hunger . . . being sure the help would go to the hungry and not to grabbing governments . . . donate most of it  Hold a little back in case we have mis-judged our retirement needs.  And say "Thank You Lord" for dumping this money into my hands enabling me to help others!

The Easter bunny's sugar made the tooth fairy rich. There was nothing left for the rest of us.

Yeah, Dale. I would give up on the lower taxes and smarter government unless the tooth fairy and Easter bunny can help out with the financial decisions. :-)

move outta dodge, and quick, find happiness in old age, and hope for lower taxes and smarter government
