WFBC regular season a wrap, playoffs begin Feb. 25

Waldoboro — The regular season is in the books for the Waldoboro First Baptist Church Men's Basketball League, with the postseason set to begin next week.

The playoffs will begin Monday, Feb. 25 and will take two weeks to complete, culminating in the league championship games Monday, March 11.

The championship night will begin with a 3-point contest at 6 p.m., followed by the Division III championship game at 6:30 p.m., the Division II championship game at 7:30 p.m. and the Division I championship game at 8:30 p.m.

The league has 19 teams across the three divisions, with the games played in the church gymnasium next to Moody's Diner in Waldoboro.

Division I

In recent action, Scrubs beat Kay Construction 71-65, Ship City bested Free Press 62-57 and Leighton Associates downed YMCA 84-48.
