WFBC court battles prove eventful through first six games

One team 6-0, five others sit at 5-1

Waldoboro — The Waldoboro First Baptist Church Men's Basketball League is now six games into its season with many contests proving competitive between the three divisions.

The league has 19 teams across the three divisions, with the games played in the church gymnasium next to Moody's Diner in Waldoboro.

The recent scores, standings and individual leaders include:

Division I

In Jan. 24 action, Ship City beat Destiny 71-52, Scrubs beat Leighton Associates 66-62 in overtime and YMCA beat Free Press 58-52.

Standings — YMCA 5-1, Ship City 5-1, Kay Construction 3-2, Leighton Associates 3-3, Free Press 2-4, Scrubs 2-4 and Destiny 1-6.
