Ways to have a good waxing experience

By Salon51 | Aug 26, 2014

There are several things you can do to ensure a more comfortable waxing experience by following these suggestions:

Take Ibuprofen 30 min prior

Allow hair to grow at least 1/4" long for best results

Avoid tanning, hot baths, saunas, and hot tubs two days prior. These activities can dehydrate the skin and cause irritation

Do not take blood thinners, products containing alpha hydroxyl acids, glycolic acids or citrus acids within 24 hours prior to service

Post wax do not take the previous things for 24 hours and still avoid the hot baths, tanning, and hot tubs for two days

Avoid sunscreens or heavy scented lotion immediately after

Most importantly make sure you have a professional trained in waxing and the proper sanitation ( no double dipping of wax sticks!)
