Camden — Friday, May 23, Wayfinder Schools held the first of four graduation ceremonies it will hold around the state this May and June. Held at High Mountain Hall in Camden, Friday night's ceremony awarded high school diplomas to students Skyler Brown, Katelyn Kribel, Cheyanne Penniman, Mitch Bartlett, Shama Maiwan, Emily Bennett and Carlos Andrade.

Wayfinder Schools (formerly The Community Schools) serves students deemed to be at high risk of high school non-completion and will graduate 21 students from throughout Maine this year. The school offers a nine-month Residential Program and a home-based Passages Program for teen parents, and serves 70 Maine students each year.

Additional ceremonies will take place May 30 at Opportunity Farm in New Gloucester, May 31 at University of Maine in Machias and June 14 at The John Street Methodist Church in Camden.
