Watershed School to host gift-wrapping benefit

Nov 17, 2012

Camden — The Watershed School will be taking part in Christmas by the Sea’s festivities this year by adding a new twist on a traditional holiday task.

On Saturday, Dec. 1 and Sunday, Dec. 2 from 1 to 4 p.m., Watershed will welcome members of the community to join them at the school for a gift-wrapping fundraiser. The public is invited to bring gifts and have them wrapped with style by students, enjoy cookies and hot chocolate, and take a break from the holiday hubbub.

All proceeds from donations for wrapping services will benefit the Watershed’s financial assistance fund for local students to attend the school, which is Midcoast Maine’s only independent high school. Students have been preparing for the event by working together throughout the fall semester to fold origami decorations to add a unique element to their wrapping efforts. For more information, contact the Watershed School at 230-7341 or info@watershed-school.org.
