Watershed School announces Veterans Day speaker
Camden — The Watershed School will host its annual Veterans Day event on Monday, Nov. 12.. The public is invited to attend the day, which includes a speaker from 10:30 a.m. to noon, followed by an opportunity for prospective students to attend open classes in the afternoon starting at 12:45 p.m.
Following the school’s tradition to invite community members who have served their country to share their experiences, Watershed is honored to welcome Ted Smith as a speaker for the event. Smith, a retired U.S. Navy captain, served a 30-year military career specializing in logistics readiness and execution oversight for the Navy and Marine Corps. Smith’s military experiences include service in Vietnam, the first Gulf War, as commanding officer of the Naval Supply Center in Virginia, as well as in Naval Aviation Fleet Commands. Smith’s unique history provides valuable insight into the experience of U.S. veterans.
