Warren — Selectmen decided around Feb. 7 to hold off on hiring a new town manager, according to Board Chairman Doug Pope.

Glenn Aho has been serving as interim town manager in Warren since Nov. 13, filling the vacancy left after the resignation of 17-year veteran Town Manager Grant Watmough.

Pope said a large number of candidates have applied for the position, about 30 altogether. Out of that pool, the selectmen narrowed the field to the five top candidates and interviewed three.

After the last interview, they decided to hold off on the hiring.

Pope said selectmen will talk over what to do next at their meeting Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 7 p.m. at the town office.

They should hire the guy with the most experience with Bankruptcy proceedings.  Scapegoatage would be beneficial as well.

I think most of the board are suffering from "Old timers" disease.

Typical of warren selectmen, want to be in charge but can't make decisions.  Probably gonna put a board together to make the decision, then blame that board if stuff goes wrong.  Your tax dollar at work folks.
