Waldoboro — The Waldoboro Recreation Department will host a 10-week tumbling class geared to those interested in cheering.
Classes will be Saturdays beginning Sept. 8, with the exception of Sept. 22. The cost is $105 per student. There are two classes — beginner/intermediate and intermediate/advanced — with each class limited to 10 students.
The beginner/intermediate class, for those new to tumbling or working on cartwheels, roundoffs and standing back handsprings, is 10 to 11 a.m. The intermediate/advanced class, for those who can perform back handsprings independently and are working on back tucks, is 11 a.m. to noon.
The class will be taught by tri-state champion gymnast Matt Hanley of Planet Cheer.
