Waldoboro recreation hosts cheerleading tumbling classes
Waldoboro — The Waldoboro Recreation Department will host a six-week tumbling class specifically designed for those interested in cheerleading. Classes will be Saturday mornings beginning Oct. 12 at Miller School.
Cheer tumbling is open to anyone in grades fourth through 12 for beginner, intermediate and advanced tumblers. Beginner/intermediates work on cartwheels, roundoffs, and are introduced to standing back handsprings. Intermediate/advanced tumblers will perfect their standing back handsprings and back tucks.
The class runs 11 a.m. to noon and is limited to 10 students. A second class may be added depending on interest. The cost is $65 per student.
The class will be taught by Matt Hanley from Planet Cheer. Hanley is a Tri-State Champion gymnast and has been recognized throughout New England.

A parents/guardians signature is required for those young than 18. All participants mst be registered no later than Wednesday, Oct. 9.
