Waldoboro officers responded to 405 calls for service from Dec. 17, 2012 to Jan. 8, 2013. Below are a few of the highlights.
Officer Thomas Bartunek arrested Gina Glidden, 24, of Warren on a warrant.
Officer Sean Kozer arrested Colleen Sawyer, 47, of Waldoboro, for failure to produce vehicle or return it to the scene and refusing to sign summons.
Officer Thomas Hoepner is investigating a report of criminal mischief to a field.
Kozer is investigating a report of a theft of approximately $20 worth of items.
Bartunek charged Shawn Brewer, 30, of Waldoboro, for assault, criminal mischief and three counts of possession of scheduled drug.
Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a report of criminal mischief at a residence.
Fuller is investigating a report of someone entering a vehicle and stealing $4.
Fuller arrested Gregory Blackler, 29, of Waldoboro, for assault and domestic violence assault.
Fuller investigated an accident on the Union Road at 10:29 a.m. Sandra Bielecki, 43, of Levant, drove a 2005 Chevrolet sedan off the side of the pavement, causing her vehicle to leave the road and head into a ditch. Bielecki continued in the ditch area for more than 50 feet and struck a large boulder before coming to rest in the ditch. No injuries were reported.
Fuller investigated an accident on the North Nobleboro Road at 10:58 a.m. Joseph Brann, 18, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2000 Chevrolet sedan, and stated he looked into a driveway while cresting a hill. Brann stated he crossed the center of the road and struck Kimberly Reed, 18, of Warren, who was driving a 2000 Jeep in the opposite travel lane. Reed complained of pain in the leg area and Brann also complained of pain.
Fuller is investigating a complaint of an attempted motor vehicle theft.
Officer John Lash is investigating a complaint of a burglary with approximately $170 worth of items taken.
Officer Jeremy Joslyn summoned Zachary Titus, 28, of Thomaston for a violation of conditional release.
Joslyn investigated a report of harassing phone calls. Subject was found and warned.
Fuller investigated a report of harassing texts. Subject was found and warned.
Fuller arrested a 16-year-old juvenile on a warrant.
Chief William Labombarde is investigating a report of phone harassment.
Officer Lash summoned Zacariah Sawyer, 19, of Waldoboro, for criminal mischief, violation of conditional release and reckless conduct.
Lash investigated an accident on Jefferson Street at 4:35 p.m. Travis Lee, 20, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2005 GMC pick-up truck and pulled around a stopped vehicle to avoid an attacker with a shovel after the two had been in an altercation. Lee pulled too far onto Main Street, where Amberley Benoit, 28, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2000 Dodge sedan. Benoit could not stop due to weather conditions and struck Lee's vehicle. This incident is still under investigation.
Joslyn summoned Cathie Harrington, 25, of Nobleboro, for operating after suspension.
Kozer investigated an accident on the Washington Road. Robert Griffin, 18, of Union, was driving a 2005 Dodge sedan southbound on the Washington Road. Griffin stated he intended to turn around in a driveway on the left side of the road, and pulled to right side of road to make a wide left turn. Griffin said he put his left turn signal on at the last minute. Matthew McFarland, 29, of Washington, was driving a 2000 Dodge pickup truck, also heading southbound on the Washington Road. McFarland saw Griffin pull to the right and believed Griffin's vehicle was coming to a stop. McFarland did not observe the turn signal and attempted to pass Griffin. Griffin turned left toward the driveway as McFarland was going around Griffin's vehicle, causing both vehicles to collide. A passenger, Maureen Waterhouse, complained of pain.
Lash investigated an accident on the North Nobleboro Road at 4:24 p.m. Alan Wotton, 25, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2003 Saturn sedan traveling east on the North Nobleboro Road. Wotton was unable to stop at intersection at Winslows Mills Road and ran off the road. The incident was not reported until next day. Wotton was charged with failure to give notice of an accident by the quickest means.
Kozer investigated a report of a $10 gas drive off. The subject was found and returned to pay for gas.
Fuller is investigating a theft. The value of items taken is unknown at this time.
Hoepner summoned a 14-year-old male juvenile, of Waldoboro, for assault.
Fuller arrested Dylan Willey, 20, of Waldoboro on a warrant.
Fuller is investigating a theft of money.
Kozer is investigating a theft of fuel oil.
Kozer is investigating a $32.01 gas drive off.
