Waldoboro officers responded to 376 calls for service from July 16 to July 29. Below are a few of the highlights.

Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a report from the Big Apple of a gas drive-off.
Officer Fuller investigated an accident on Winslows Mills Road at 12:17 p.m. James Lee, 71, of Shutesbury, Mass., was driving a 2005 Toyota sport-utility vehicle. John Shiminski, 53, of Falmouth was driving a 2006 Honda sedan. Crystal Abbott, 31, of Waldoboro was driving a 2008 Dodge van. Abbott failed to stop at the stop light, striking the Honda sedan, causing it to strike the Toyota SUV from the impact. Both Lee and Shiminski were stopped in traffic at a red light.
Officer Thomas Bartunek summoned Courtenay Flint, 19, of Waldoboro for terrorizing.
Officer Jeremy Joslyn arrested Shawn Day, 18, of Waldoboro on a probation violation.
Officer Sean Kozer is investigating a report from C.N. Brown of a $60.48 gas drive-off.
Officer Kozer is investigating a report from Maritime Farms of a $30 gas drive-off.
Officer Joslyn arrested Justin Richards, 22, of Warren on a violation of conditional release.
Officer Fuller arrested a 16-year-old male on an arrest warrant.
Officer Kozer investigated an accident on Atlantic Highway at 5:12 p.m. Tony Morelli, 47, of Thomaston was driving a 1997 Toyota SUV. Samuel Hinds, 22, of Chelsea was driving a 2000 Ford sedan. Morelli complained of neck pain. He was northbound behind Hinds, who was stopped in traffic. Morelli stated he did not see stopped traffic. Morelli saw stopped traffic and he attempted to swerve right to avoid hitting anyone. He crossed the right-turn-only lane and went off the road, struck a road sign, swerved left again, crossing the right-turn-only lane before side-swiping the Ford. Morelli then swerved right and went off the road before coming to rest.
Officer Joslyn investigated a report from a resident that he is being harassed via text message. The subject was found and warned on harassment.
Officer Kozer investigated an accident on Old Route 1 at 5 p.m. Jessica Sleeper, 26, of South Thomaston was driving a 2005 Ford F-550 truck. A Ford F-350 was parked and unoccupied in the parking area of Heritage Landscaping. Sleeper attempted to back up and park next to it. Sleeper struck the Ford F-350 truck. There were no injuries.
Officer Kozer is investigating the theft of a swimming inner tube.
Officer Joslyn arrested Mark Noyes, 60, of Montville for failure to register or update information.
Officer William Bragg summoned Jeremy Johnson Jr., 18, of South China for harvesting clams without a town license.
Officer Bragg summoned a 13-year-old male for harvesting clams without a town license.
Officer Kozer investigated a report from a resident that she is receiving harassing text messages. The subject was found and warned on harassment.
Officer Thomas Hoepner is investigating a report from Waltz’s Pharmacy of the theft of a pregnancy test.
Officer Kozer investigated a report from the Big Apple of a $37.27 gas drive-off. The subject was found and returned to pay.
Officer Bartunek summoned Cheryl Weeks, 56, of Jefferson for an inspection violation.
Officer Bartunek summoned Thomas Hoffman, 50, of Waldoboro for an inspection violation.
Officer Bartunek summoned Michael Griffin, 24, of Augusta for an inspection violation.
Sgt. Jamie Wilson investigated an accident at the Hannaford Brothers parking lot at 4 p.m. Kari Robbins, 26, of Bremen was driving a 1995 Ford passenger car. Deborah Robinson, 60, of Rockland was driving a 2007 Chrysler passenger car. The Chrysler was parked. Robbins pulled into a parking space next to the Chrysler and struck it on the passenger side. There were no injuries.
Sgt. Wilson investigated an accident on Atlantic Highway at 6:37 p.m. Paul Casteleiro, 66, of Nyack, N.Y., was driving a 2004 Volvo sedan. Ashley Costa-Whittaker, 25, of Readfield was driving a 1997 Nissan pickup. Costa-Whittaker was traveling northbound on Atlantic Highway and slowed behind several other vehicles for a car in the northbound lane that was making a left turn. Casteleiro was traveling northbound behind Costa-Whittaker. Casteleiro did not see Costa-Whittaker slowing and ran into the back of the Nissan pickup.
Officer Joslyn investigated an accident on Friendship Road at 9:29 p.m. Robyn Campbell, 51, of Waldoboro was driving a 2000 Toyota passenger car. Campbell was driving south on Friendship Road. Campbell got distracted by things inside the vehicle, left the roadway, and hit a telephone pole. There were no injuries.
