Waldoboro — Waldoboro police officers responded to 154 calls for service between April 24 and April 30. Below are a few of the highlights.

April 24

Officer Thomas Bartunek arrested Casey Palmer, 25, of Bristol, on a probation violation.

Officer Larry Hesseltine investigated a report of flattened tires.

April 25

Hesseltine summoned Derick Winslow, 27, of Waldoboro, for a violation of conditional release and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.

April 26

Officer Chris Spear investigated a crash on Atlantic Highway at 9:19 a.m. Alice Parlin, 55, of Nobleboro, was driving southbound in a 2010 Subaru utility vehicle and failed to keep in the proper lane, running into the back of Steven Tapley, 54, of Deering, N.H., who was driving a 2000 Mack Tractor/Semi–Trailer, which was also southbound. No injuries were reported.

Hesseltine investigated a report of the theft of a wallet.

April 27

Spear summoned William Perry, 16, of Waldoboro, for operating a motor vehicle without a license.

Hesseltine arrested Jesse Howard, 26, of Augusta, on a warrant.

Hesseltine investigated a crash at the intersection of Atlantic Highway and Jefferson Street at 3:40 p.m. Carl Bruening, 72, of Boothbay Harbor, was driving westbound on Atlantic Highway in a 2013 Ford utility vehicle. Brady Thayer, 17, of Waldoboro, was heading northbound, starting in traffic on Jefferson Street in a 2013 Ford sedan, and failed to yield the right of way. No injuries were reported.

April 28

Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated a report that someone shot pellets at a TV dish, causing damage.

Spear arrested Joshua Benner, 28, of Newcastle, on a warrant and for operating after suspension/habitual offender.

An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.
