Waldoboro — Waldoboro police officers responded to 116 calls for service between July 29 and Aug. 3. Below are a few of the highlights:

July 29

Officer Christopher Spear investigated a report of harassing phone calls.

July 30

Officer Larry Hesseltine investigated a crash on Friendship Road at 1:50 p.m. Maureen Beaulieu-Dean, 56, of Rockport, had her 2005 Toyota sedan parked legally and unattended. Heather Bisset, 26, of Union, went to pull off to the side of the road and struck the vehicle with her 2004 Chevrolet pickup truck. No injuries were reported.

Spear investigated a $60.22 gasoline drive off from the Big Apple.

July 31

Hesseltine investigated a crash on Friendship Road at 12 p.m. Sarah Richardson, 48, of Florida was traveling south in a 2010 Cadillac sedan and James Hearn, 50, of New Hampshire who was traveling north in a 2005 Honda sedan when the two vehicles sideswiped each other causing minor damage. Richardson crested the hill and came to a complete stop in the middle of the northbound travel lane. Brenda Winslow, 65, of Friendship was driving a 2003 Toyota utility vehicle and crested the hill and found Richardson's vehicle stopped in her lane of travel. Winslow was unable to stop and ran into the back of Richardson. No injuries were reported.

Hesseltine investigated a complaint that a tire from an unknown vehicle broke a window at the Coast of Maine Crematorium building.

Aug. 1

Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated a report that someone broke into a vehicle and stole medication.

Fuller investigated a crash on Atlantic Highway at 9:43 a.m. Timothy Hibbard, 25, of Nobleboro was driving a 2000 Volkswagon sedan. Trudy Boulette, 53, of Norridgewock was making a left hand turn in a 2008 Jeep utility vehicle when she was struck by Hibbard who was attempting to pass her. No injuries were reported.

Fuller investigated a report of the theft of a generator.

Aug. 2

Fuller investigated a report of criminal mischief done to a lawn.

Hesseltine investigated a report of an unwanted subject.

Aug. 3

Officer John Lash investigated a $22.24 gasoline drive off from the Big Apple.

Fuller investigated a report of criminal mischief to a building on the Atlantic Highway.

Fuller investigated report of harassment. The subject was found and warned on harassment.

Hesseltine arrested Wayne King, 35, of Waldoboro on two warrants.

Hesseltine charged Charlotte Libby, 29, of Waldoboro for operating under the influence, operating with an expired license and endangering the welfare of a child.

An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.
