Waldoboro — Waldoboro police officers responded to 164 calls for service between July 21 and 28. Below are a few of the highlights:
Officer Christopher Spear summoned Ronnie Arnold, 54, of California for an unregistered motor vehicle.
Spear investigated a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle's front and rear doors. Approximate $350 in damage was done.
Spear investigated a report from the Big Apple of a $30 gasoline drive off.
Spear summoned Dimitra Crudell, 40, of Waldoboro for failure to show proof of insurance.
Officer Andrew Santheson investigated a harassment complaint.
Santheson summoned Travis Carter, 27, of Waldoboro for operating a motor vehicle with an expired license.
Spear investigated a crash at the intersection of Atlantic Highway, Washington Road, and Main Street at 7:38 p.m. Jacob Allen, 18, of Wiscasset was traveling south on Atlantic Highway in a 2000 Chevrolet pickup truck and failed to see Scott Murray, 45, of Camden stopped at a red light in a 2009 International truck. Allen struck Murray's vehicle in the rear. No injuries were reported.
Santheson investigated a crash on the Friendship Road at 9:27 a.m. Pamela Creamer, 64, of Westbrook was traveling south in a 2012 Ford sedan when she pulled over to the right onto the shoulder to stop. The vehicle ended up in a ditch. No injuries were reported.
Santheson investigated a crash in the Dunkin' Donuts parking lot on Atlantic Highway at 10:40 a.m. Craig Cooke, 18, of Massachusetts was fueling up his 1999 Jeep utility vehicle while Dana Ayers, 60, of Union exited the drive through after receiving his order in a 2013 Chevrolet sedan. Cooke exited the gas pump in reverse, striking side of Ayers who was parked behind him. No injuries were reported.
Officer Larry Hesseltine investigated a crash on the Atlantic Highway at 2:50 p.m. George Hendron, 52, of Waldoboro was traveling north in a 2011 GMC pickup truck when Raymonde Seiders, 45, of Augusta failed to yield the right of way in a 2000 Mitsubishi sedan and pulled out in front of Hendron. Hendron struck Seiders, forcing both vehicles to cross the center lane and came to rest on the southbound side of the road. Injury codes in both vehicles showed possible injuries.
Spear summoned Devin Davis, 27, of Friendship for operating after suspension.
