Waldoboro — Waldoboro Police officers responded to 137 calls for service between July 7 and July 14. Below are a few of the highlights:

July 8

Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated a report of harassing phone calls. The subject was found and warned on harassment.

Officer Larry Hesseltine summoned Nathan Forsman, 36, of Waldoboro for speed.

Hesseltine investigated a crash at the intersection of Manktown Road and Miller Road at 12:30 p.m. Paul Roberts, 54, of Waldoboro was stopped at the stop sign at the intersection in a 2013 Toyota utility vehicle. Walter Brewer, 55, of Waldoboro was attempting a left turn onto Miller Road from Manktown Road in a 2001 Dodge pickup. Brewer's view was obstructed by the side view mirror, and he struck Roberts' vehicle. There were no injuries.

Officer Andrew Santheson investigated a report of harassing phone calls.

Chief William Labombarde investigated a crash at the intersection of Chapel, Manktown and Union roads at 7:19 p.m. Reginald Gay, 66, of Windsor was traveling north on Manktown Road on a 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he noticed a stop sign too late and locked up the brakes. Gay's motorcycle tipped on its left side, skidded through the intersection and came to rest on Union Road. Gay was thrown from the motorcycle, and was transported by LifeFlight with possible head injuries.

July 10

Hesseltine arrested Keith Main, 36, of Waldoboro on a warrant.

Hesseltine summoned David Cushing, 55, of Pemaquid for speed.

Sgt. Jamie Wilson investigated a harassment complaint.

July 11

Hesseltine arrested a 15-year-old male for domestic violence assault and refusing to submit to arrest/detention.

Fuller investigated a report of criminal mischief to a shed and motorcycle.

Wilson investigated a report of harassment.

Wilson summoned Henry Block, 64, of Florida for failure to stop at stop sign.

Wilson summoned Donald Thomas, 66, of New York for failure to stop at stop sign.

July 12

Wilson investigated a report of harassment.

Wilson investigated a report of criminal mischief to a property.

July 13

Fuller investigated a report of theft of medication.

Officer John Lash investigated a report of the theft of medication.

Fuller arrested Giuseppe Maini, 54, of Portmouth, N.H., for burglary.

Lash arrested Joshua Benner, 25, of Waldoboro for operating under the influence, driving to endanger, refusing to submit to arrest/detention and terrorizing.

July 14

Fuller summoned Brian Bennett, 34, of Waldoboro for operating after suspension.

An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.
