Waldoboro — Waldoboro police officers responded to 169 calls for service between Dec. 16 and 24. Below are a few of the highlights.

Dec. 16

Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated a crash on Atlantic Highway at 8:25 a.m. John Carlton, 85, of Wiscasset was driving a 2002 Suzuki utility vehicle when he lost control due to road conditions. The vehicle landed in the opposite lane of traffic. No injuries were reported.

Dec. 17

Officer John Lash summoned a 16-year-old female from Washington for minor in possession of liquor.

Lash summoned a 15-year-old female from Waldoboro for minor consuming liquor.

Lash investigated a crash on Old Augusta Road at 4:36 a.m. Yashua Lilly, 21, of Augusta was traveling west in a 2005 Ford sedan when she lost control due to road conditions. The vehicle traveled sideways down the road until the tires hit a snowbank and the car ended up in the woods. No injuries were reported.

Officer Larry Hesseltine investigated a report from the Big Apple of a $100 gasoline drive off.

Hesseltine arrested Joseph Salo, 33, of Waldoboro for failure to register or update information.

Hesseltine investigated a report from the Big Apple of a $34.67 gasoline drive off.

Hesseltine investigated a report from the Waldoboro Town Garage of criminal mischief with paint balls.

Dec. 18

Hesseltine investigated a crash on Union Road at 8:45 a.m. Alexander Aiken, 31, of Waldoboro was traveling north in a 2012 Ford pickup. James Basham, 67, of Waldoboro was stopped plowing a driveway in a 2007 GMC pickup. Aiken attempted to go around Basham, and went off the left side of the road and struck a CMP utility pole due to road conditions. No injuries were reported.

Hesseltine investigated a crash on Genthner Road at 3 p.m. Jesse Johnson, 35, of Waldoboro was traveling east in a 2010 Hyundai utility vehicle. Johnson moved close to the shoulder for an oncoming vehicle, and slid into a snowbank causing vehicle to leave the right side of the road and hit a utility vehicle.No injuries were reported.

Dec. 19

Sgt. Jamie Wilson summoned Andrea Little, 41, of Thomaston for operating under the influence.

Dec. 20

Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated a report of the theft of a purse.

Fuller arrested Devin Davis, 27, of Friendship for driving to endanger and failure to stop for police officer.

Dec. 21

Sgt. Jamie Wilson investigated a report of the theft of a purse.

Dec. 22

Fuller investigating a report of the theft of a chainsaw.

An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

It would seem to me that the "Big Apple" should have in place that one has to pay before they pump. This gas station seems to be in the police reports every week!!!
