Waldoboro — Waldoboro police officers responded to 133 calls for service between Dec. 10 and 16. Below are a few of the highlights:

Dec. 12

Officer Larry Hesseltine investigated a report of the theft of some scrap metal.

Dec. 13

Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated a report of the theft of some cash and medication.

Dec. 14

Fuller investigated a crash on Atlantic Highway at 9:55 a.m. Ramon Morales 23, of Middleton, N.Y. was driving a 2007 Dodge pickup truck in the breakdown lane passing a turning vehicle when he struck Lisa Piper, 43, of Waldoboro. Piper was driving a 2006 Dodge van. Road conditions were blamed for the accident. Piper complained of pain in the back.

Fuller investigated a report from the Big Apple of a $51.57 gasoline drive off.

Dec. 15

Fuller investigated a report of the theft of approximately $50 in cash.

Dec. 16

Officer Fuller investigated a crash on Atlantic Highway at 8:25 a.m. John Carlton, 86, of Wiscasset was driving a 2002 Suzuki utility vehicle northbound when he lost control due to road conditions. The vehicle came to rest in the opposite lane of travel. No injuries were reported.

An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.
