Waldoboro — Waldoboro police officers responded to 399 calls for service Aug. 13 to 27. Below are a few of the highlights:
Detective Jason Benefield investigated a report of the theft of cats.
Benefield investigated a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle.
Officer Thomas Hoepner arrested Dawn Walton, 52, of Jefferson for operating under the influence.
Dog Officer Laurice Ducharme summoned Ann Crowell, 44, of Waldoboro for dog at large and failing to license her dog — three counts.
Detective Benefield investigated a crash on Friendship Road at 12:27 p.m. Stewart Harrington, 46, of Friendship was driving a 2004 Ford F550 truck when he attempted to pass Jossyln Austin, 72, of Damariscotta who was driving a 2005 Lexus sedan. Austin slowed to turn left, and was impacted at the front quarter panel. No injuries were reported.
Officer Thomas Bartunek investigated a report of criminal mischief to windows in a house.
Bartunek investigated a report of theft of mail.
Officer Jeffery Fuller arrested Kevin Kee, 53, of Waldoboro on a warrant.
Sgt. Jamie Wilson investigated a harassment complaint. The subject was found and warned on harassment.
Officer Fuller arrested Douglas Barter, 46, of Waldoboro for disorderly conduct and refusing to submit to arrest or detention.
Ducharme summoned Diane Anthony, 44, of Waldoboro for dog at large.
Fuller summoned Amberly Benoit, 29, of Rockland for violating a protection from harassment order.
Officer Jeremy Joslyn arrested Walter Brewer, 31, of Waldoboro for unlawful possession of scheduled drugs and loaded firearm in a motor vehicle.
Benefield investigated a crash that occurred on Aug. 17, but was not reported until Aug. 21. Frances Howard Girard, 17, of Rockport was driving a 2006 Toyota sedan on Atlantic Highway when she rear-ended Brooke Cheema, 47, of Santa Barbara, Calif., who was stopped at a red light at Washington Road. Cheema was driving a 2008 Saab sedan. No injuries were reported.
Bartunek investigated a three-vehicle chain reaction crash on Atlantic Highway at 4:52 p.m. Angela Wellman, 24, of Waldoboro was driving a 1996 Chevrolet pickup truck. Andrea Hamalainen, 47, of Camden was driving a 2007 Ford utility vehicle. Pamela Stuart, 48, of Waldoboro was driving a 2010 Chevrolet utility vehicle. Stuart was stopped in traffic, and Hamalainen was coming to a stop behind her when Wellman failed to notice Hamalainen coming to a stop. The accident caused Hamalainen to strike Stuart as well. Hamalainen complained of pain.
Sgt. Jamie Wilson investigated a complaint of an unwanted subject. The subject was found and warned on criminal trespass.
Bartunek, Wilson and Benefield investigated a theft of money report.
Fuller investigated a report of criminal mischief done to a pickup truck that was left on the beach.
Wilson investigated a report of an item being sold on Craigslist and the seller received a fraudulent check.
Wilson summoned Richard Bissett, 18, of Waldoboro for operating without a license and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
Benefield investigated a report of the theft of a phone.
Officer Andrew Santheson arrested Damian Benner, 37, of Lewiston on three warrants.
Santheson summoned Donald Simmons, 24, of Waldoboro for leaving the scene of a property damage accident, operating after suspension and failure to show proof of insurance.
Wilson summoned Elizabeth Pinkham, 31, of Waldoboro for harassment.
Santheson arrested Justin Bickford, 19, of Waldoboro for operating under the influence.
Fuller investigated a report of vandalism to a tractor ignition.
Fuller investigated a report slashed tires on a vehicle.
Fuller investigated a report of criminal mischief to a property.
Bartunek investigated a report of the theft of a truck rack.
