Waldoboro Fitness Center under new management
Waldoboro — The New Year brings new management for Waldoboro Fitness Center.
The fitness center located at 75 Winslow Mills Road (Route 32) has been locally owned and operated since 1993. Previous owners Don and Ruth Barter are working closely with new manager Les Crouse to make the transition as smooth as possible.
Les Crouse, a Maine native, has lived in Waldoboro with his wife Evelyn and their four children for 37 years. Les has also managed his own plumbing and heating company for the past 30 years. Les brings in new ideas and an enthusiastic energy to the local gym that has been on Route 32 for more than 20 years.
The facility has a wide variety of strength training machines, treadmills, stationary bikes, elliptical trainers and free weights. Tanning packages and daily guest passes are also available. Students, seniors, veterans and business groups are eligible for special rates. Hours are Mondays through Fridays, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays, 8 a.m. to noon.
An open house will be held Friday, Feb. 14, and Saturday, Feb. 15, from 9 a.m. to noon. Stop in for refreshments and a chance to win prizes. In honor of Valentines’ Day, Waldoboro Fitness is offering a sweetheart discount of 10 percent off memberships for couples that sign up during the open house.
If unable to attend the open house, guests are welcome to stop in another time with this article for a free day pass.
