Rockland — The Friends of Maine’s Seabird Islands, maineseabirds.org, is recruiting volunteers to assist with outreach, education, and general assistance at the new Visitor Center in Rockland.

The first volunteer training and meet and greet will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 18 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Visitor Center, 9 Water St., Rockland.
