Volunteer Tai Chi Instructors Needed
A call for community volunteers.
Spectrum Generations is taking part in a Tai Chi for Better Balance 6-month pilot program led by the Innovation Labs at Aetna, a national health insurer helping its members live vibrant, connected lived in their communities.
If you love seeing people become healthier, more energized and engaged, then consider becoming a Tai chi for Better Balance volunteer group class instructor. If you’ve taught Tai Chi or other evidence-based programs, fitness or wellness classes in the past – consider volunteering with this pilot program aimed at improving balance and preventing falls. Sharing this program with older members of your community is also a great way to enrich your personal wellness routine.
As a volunteer facilitator, you’ll receive a combination of live training following the Tai Chi for Better Balance curriculum, ongoing coaching and support, DVDs of each lesson, plus a program guide book for reference. After training you’ll lead twice-weekly classes for 24 weeks. Training for volunteer facilitators will start in October.
Make a direct impact on your community and help shape the way we care for older adults. Call today to learn more and reserve your spot as a Tai Chi for Better Balance volunteer. Contact Tina DeRaps at 620-1657 or email@example.com.
