Vinalhaven selectmen, school board seats available

Vinalhaven — A pair of seats on the Board of Selectmen and a term on the school board are up for grabs.

Nomination papers for two three-year select board seats, currently held by Penny Lazaro and Jessica MacDonald Martin, and a single seat on the School Administrative District 8 Board of Directors, held by Bruce Philip are available. The term is for three years.

As of April 8, no one has taken out nomination papers to be considered for the seats. Nomination papers are available at the town office and are due by Monday, April 28.

Elections will be held Tuesday, June 10, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Washington School (town office) and the town meeting is Friday, June 20, at 7 p.m. in the Vinalhaven School auditorium.
