Rockport — The Village at Rockport has submitted a pre-application to the town, proposing to add 13 single-resident cottages to its existing subdivision.

The Rockport Planning Board will hear initial plans at its next meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 12, at 5:30 p.m. at Rockport Opera House.

The Village at Rockport is located at 689 Commercial St.

The fourth phase of the project will bring the total subdivision to 39.70 acres. The existing subdivision is comprised of 35 units — six single-residence cottages and 29 units in multi-family dwellings — which was approved by the town in three phases. With the additional proposed cottages, there would be a total of 48 units in the subdivision, according to information provided by the town's planning office.

According to the Village at Rockport website, phases one and two have sold out and phase 3 is going fast. Phase 4 is also being offered.
