Upgrading Your Outdoor Lighting ?

By Route 90 Business Association | Aug 30, 2013

Most Route 90 travelers (and many locals) don’t realize that this ten mile highway travels (for about 1000 feet) through the city of Rockland between the towns of Rockport and Warren. This portion of Rt. #90 is actually known as Farwell Drive, Rockland, Maine. It was named in honor of Nathan Allen Farwell, a Rockland politician, businessman and United States Senator during the Civil War.

In 1989 Farwell Drive was zoned commercial use by the city and the first business established on Farwell Drive was 1790 Lighting owned and operated by Dennis and Regina Fenton.

Dennis, an expert in low voltage lighting and a 25 yr. member with the Illuminating Engineers of Maine., is the company’s outdoor lighting consultant. Gina manages their 3000 square foot showroom which features two lighting labs, the newest in LED recessed and track lighting, fixtures, lamps, sconces, chandeliers, bulbs, fans, and controls.  Employee, Lisa Leighton, is a 21 year veteran of the operation and also a certified lighting specialist. Lisa can assist you whether you need a specialty light bulb or help to design lighting for a whole house. Call 207 594-1790 or email info@17-90.com for more information.

1790 Lighting is a long time member of the Route #90 Business Association, a group founded in 1994 to promote Route #90 as a local shopping destination and to provide a united voice to issues that may impact the businesses in the three towns. www.route90me.com
