UPDATED: Two injured, bones broken in head-on crashLifeFlight called in to rescue victim
Warren — Two people were injured Sept. 18 in a two-vehicle, head-on crash at about 3 p.m. on Western Road in Warren near Beth’s Farm Market, according to the Knox County Sheriff's Office.
A LifeFlight helicopter responded.
Jacob Hyler, 23, of Union was driving a 2006 GMC truck south on Western Road. Hyler turned left to pull off the road in front of a 2012 Hyundai, driven by Dean Olsen, 38, of Warren. Also in the Hyundai was Shelby Olsen, 39, of Warren.
Hyler was not injured. Shelby Olsen was treated and released at Pen Bay Medical Center. Dean Olsen has been taken by helicopter to a hospital in Bangor with multiple injuries and broken bones.
Hyler has been charged with failing to yield the right of way.
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy Chad Gilbert responded to reconstruct the crash.
First Responders from Warren Fire Department, Warren Ambulance, Union Rescue and Sterling Ambulance were also on scene.
