The 2nd Amendment Rally was a Success!

By Catherine Cooper | Feb 24, 2013

We are believers in the Constitution being the perfect document to help us govern our great nation. We do not believe in the right to pick and choose the amendments we individually support or do not support.

We believe that criminals will never obey any law restricting gun use and that any law designed to restrict law abiding citizens from owning legally obtained guns is a restriction on freedom. Guns do not kill people, people with a agenda of hate, hurt and kill people.

The laws already in place are enough if properly enforced.

At one time there were 12 of us there holding signs and people snapping photos on their cell phones to put up on Facebook etc.

We were also pleased that cars driving by honked and waved in a show of support, it's good to know most in the area know that the Constitution is perfect in its wording and that it is still relevant today.

Nice turnout. With the exception of a few isolated hand salutes, there were well over a hundred positive responses, with several occasions where three to four vehicles were simultaneously giving toots and thumbs up in the intersection.

Some people, it would seem, are not buying the media pablum and being swayed by the administration's agenda. Indeed, approximately 60% of the positive responses last Saturday were from WOMEN, and half of those ladies were 50 to 60 and older. We were amazed, as well.
