Update: Chair Yoga Class Change In Dates

Do you suffer from chronic pain and want relief? Join Massage Therapist and Yoga Instructor Brita Light, RN, for an introductory chair yoga class, offered Fridays beginning September 13 from 1 – 2 p.m. at the Picker Family Resource Center, located on the Pen Bay Medical Center campus. This class was originally scheduled to take place on Wednesdays.  

During the four-week series, participants will practice gentle stretching and movement, learn breathing techniques for relaxation and have the opportunity to take part in group discussions about living with chronic pain. 

Class cost is $40. Call 596-8950 to register or for more information. Space is limited. 

Brita Light is a registered nurse with many years of experience working in hospitals, physician’s offices and clinics. She believes in taking a holistic approach to health, and has completed training to become a licensed massage therapist and yoga instructor as well. Light has years of experience teaching yoga classes to those with arthritis, asthma, cancer, chronic pain, depression, heart disease, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s. She teaches classes and holds private sessions in Camden, Cape Cod, New Jersey and California.
