Unity College Students Invite Politicos to Campus, Plan March to the Polls on November 6

Unity, Maine – Civic minded Unity College students have invited a full slate of candidates to campus for a forum on Tuesday, October 30 from 11 – 12 a.m. in the Student Center on the campus of Unity College, 90 Quaker Hill Road, Unity, Maine.
     The invited include Maine Democrats, Maine Republicans, President Obama’s campaign in Maine, Mitt Romney’s campaign in Maine, Mainers United (Yes on 1), and Protect Marriage in Maine (No on 1).
     Confirmed are Brian Jones (Democrat, House of Representatives); Ryan Harmon (Republican, House of Representatives), Chip Curry (Democrat, Maine State Senate), and Michael Thibodeau (Republican, Maine State Senate).
     The event is sponsored by the Unity College Diversity Committee and Student Activities.
     Also in election news at Unity College, students have planned a march from campus to the polls on November 6. Students and members of the general public will gather in front of the Student Center at 11 a.m. to organize for the march.  Members of the general public are invited to participate. For more information on this event contact Mark Tardif at (207) 948-9292.
