Unity College Names Sarah Conroy Director of Human Resources
April 2013- A seasoned human resources professional with more than 25 years of experience in the field has been named Director of Human Resources at Unity College.
Sarah Conroy began her role during the spring semester 2013. Conroy has human resource experience in organizations of various sizes, including HR director positions at Penobscot Bay Media and the State of Maine DAFS Corrections Service Center, HR consulting work with Gaudet Associates, and HR Analyst positions with Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston University and the University of California. Her specialties include employee relations, compensation and benefits design and delivery, compliance, communications and strategic planning.
Conroy served as Maine Government Affairs Director for the Society for Human Resources Management from 2009-2012.
Conroy is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and holds both the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designations. Throughout her career, she has written broadly about HR issues and has delivered solutions across the HR spectrum.
