Understanding natural sleep rhythms

Mar 03, 2014

Camden — Michael Keating will present Understanding Natural Sleep Rhythms and How They Affect Our Health at the monthly Wellness Brown Bag Lunch, Monday, March 10, at noon at Camden Public Library.

“When we think of health, losing weight, or getting fit, the things that come to mind first are typically exercise and diet. Rarely is sleep considered an important element when setting our health goals. The cycles of day and night resulting from the movement of the sun and earth play a significant role in our overall health. Learn about these rhythms and how to live in alignment with them,” Keating said in a news release.

Keating is a holistic lifestyle consultant with Divine Wellness Consultants in Owls Head. He is also an AFPA certified Strength Consultant, Yoga Fitness Instructor, Pilates Fitness Instructor, certified C.H.E.K. Exercise Coach, Kardio Kickboxing trainer, and Holistic Lifestyle Coach. The Wellness Series is co-sponsored by the library and the PenBay Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Keating and his partner Sherry Stanley met and joined forces in 1993. Together they trained in several different styles of martial arts into the advanced levels. While teaching martial arts at their facility, Infinite Fitness, they studied and became certified as transformational breathing facilitators at the LifeBreath Institute. While instructing at Infinite Fitness they were also certified in Yoga Fitness, Pilates Fitness, Kardio Kickboxing, and as Nutrition Consultants. They designed and implemented numerous classes which introduced healthy eating and fitness to people in the Midcoast. At their next fitness venture, Sea Results Wellness Consulting, Mike and Sherry sought advance level training in specialties for corrective and athletic exercise kinesiology, holistic lifestyle coaching, and Metabolic Typing Diet consulting. Mike has recently become a certified Reiki Practitioner.
