Unbeaten Camden Hills nails down wins in tri-meet

Few opponents have tested defending state Class B champion Windjammers

Newcastle — The Camden Hills wrestling team continued its winning ways in a tri-meet at Newcastle Dec. 19, earning dual-meet team victories over Morse of Bath and host Lincoln Academy.

The Windjammers remain unbeaten on the year, at 11-0, besting the Shipbuilders 75-6 and prevailing 60-18 over the Eagles.

The individual results from the Camden Hills Dec. 19 meet, with Windjammer wrestlers listed first, were:

106 pounds — Hilary Merrifield was pinned by Kyle Bonti, Mor; and was pinned by Mark Zaccadelli, LA.

113 pounds — James Archer won by forfeit over Morse and Lincoln Academy.

120 pounds — John Underhill pinned Cody Marenius, Mor; and won by forfeit over Lincoln Academy.

126 pounds — Chris Weiss won by forfeit over Morse; and pinned Lucas Verrier, L.A.

132 pounds — Marty Farrell won by forfeit over Morse; and pinned Morgan Achorn, L.A.

138 pounds — Connor Winchenbach pinned De'Andre Dinkins, Mor; and pinned Miranda Achorn, LA.

145 pounds — Coleman Powers pinned Chad Bonti, Mor; and won by forfeit over Lincoln Academy.

152 pounds — Eli Smith pinned Kyle Perry, Mor; and pinned Dakota Brown, LA.

160 pounds — Max Bryant pinned Samuel Coffey, Mor; and beat Andrew Bryant, LA.

170 pounds — Jared Gilbert pinned Corey Lent, Mor; and was pinned by Collin Higgins, LA.

182 pounds — Brian Jones pinned Nick Theriault, Mor; and pinned Nathaniel Geoffrion, LA.

195 pounds — Bryan Clement pinned Zach Thomas, Mor; and won by forfeit over Lincoln Academy.

220 pounds —John White won by forfeit over Morse; and was pinned by Michael McAtee, L.A.

285 pounds — Kaylo Littlejohn pinned Richard Reynolds, Mor; and pinned Cody Dighton, LA.
