Two chances to experience HeartSong

Mar 05, 2014
HeartSong is based in Waldo County.

HeartSong is a community-based volunteer chorus that offers songs of comfort and peace for the infirm and ill, the dying, their families and caregivers. Music is selected to be sensitive to the physical and emotional state of the patient and to suit their musical and spiritual preferences. HeartSong sings offer comfort and healing in homes, nursing homes, hospitals and hospice settings in the greater Belfast area.

On Sunday, March 16, at 4 p.m., HeartSong will be part of the series of Lenten services at the United Christian Church in Lincolnville Center. The focus will be on Reflection, Peace and Deep Listening.

On Monday, March 17, at 6:30 p.m., there will be a presentation at Belfast Public Library with a special invitation to those who have experienced loss in the past year. HeartSong will share its mission, songs of ease and gentleness surrounding death, songs of the joy of living and some Irish songs for St. Patrick's Day.

All are invited to share in one or both of these presentations. For more information regarding HeartSong, contact Mariah Williams at mariah@libertyhealingarts.com or Jean Goldfine at jinnar@mainelywired.net.
