Twelve strays of Christmas
Ho Ho Home for Christmas. It’s that time of year again for the Pope Memorial Humane Society of Knox County's annual 12 Strays of Christmas adoption promotion.
“Each year we highlight 12 animals who, for whatever reason, have been overlooked and have been at the shelter for far too long," said Tracy Sala, the executive director, in a news release. “We want to let people know about these wonderful animals so they can all have homes for the holidays this year and beyond.”
This year nine cats and three dogs are featured. Among the cats are Alan, Molly (who was on last year's list), Cobalt, Genoah, Bella Donna, Mocha, Juanita, Socks and Jasmyn. The adoption fee for these special cats is only $12. The adoption fee for dogs Shadow, Shy Ann and Lily will be reduced by $50. All they want for Christmas is a loving home. The promotion starts Dec. 13 and runs until the Dec. 24. There are currently more than 125 animals at the PMHSKC shelter who are hoping to be home for the holidays.
