Trip to see MFA Impressionism show

MFA/Bequest of Alexander Cochrane Claude Monet’s iconic 1907 “Water Lilies” is one of the treasures in the public-curated “Boston Loves Impressionism” show at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

Rockland — The nonprofit Penobscot School invites the public to celebrate spring, art and French culture with a two-day trip to Boston in May. The trip is scheduled for Sunday and Monday, May 18 and 19.

Highlight of the adventure will be viewing the “Boston Loves Impressionism” show at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Paintings by Van Gogh, Monet, Degas and others will be on display. Participants also will have ample time to sightsee, shop and enjoy international cuisine.

Cost for the trip is $180 per person and includes hotel and museum admission. For more information and to register, call 594-1084 by May 10.
